Michelle Parker (she/her) - Project Manager
Was born into poverty, was raised in Anchorage, then moved to the Mat-Su and have been learning to become a woman with a voice for the things that are important for Alaska’s Indigenous culture, and for our homeless youth that are still lost trying to find their way.
All while pulling out the weeds of my path and planting a seed wherever I can grow!

Margaret Edwards-Jones (she/her) - General Member
Hi, my name is Margaret Edwards-Jones! I am excited to join the Mat-Su Youth Action board. I was born and raised in Anchorage Alaska. I moved out to the valley when I turned 18. When I moved out here I struggled with mental health and substance abuse issues which led me to being homeless. I've gotten sober a little over a year ago and am actively working on my recovery while currently working for True North Recovery by being a peer support person to those who are still struggling.

Mizan Wal (she/her) - General Member
Driven by compassion, I am deeply committed to providing support and assistance to individuals who have faced youth homelessness. Having grown up in Alaska, I witnessed firsthand the struggles of my friends and peers who found themselves homeless. This ignited a strong desire within me to make a difference and extend a helping hand in any way possible. As a young adult, I wholeheartedly dedicate myself to empowering and advocating for youth, enabling them to become leaders and amplify their voices within their communities.
